BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation)

This is an energetic training that will cover everything you  need to know to plan and run a pack overnighter. Information on selecting and using camping equipment, how to run a campfire program, outdoor activities, first aid, safety, games, ceremonies, plus hands-on Cub Scout cooking demonstrations! Everything you need to know to make your pack overnighter a fun successful event!

Who : Each pack must have at least one BALOO trained person on campouts, and we suggest numerous people in the unit be trained in order to ensure an adequate number of backups should your BALOO person not be able to help in the planning and/or attendance of an event. This is a great role for those adults that want to be involved in a leadership position, but whose schedules don't allow for a more involved position.
